Seven means completeness or divine fulfillment

  • God saw 7 times goodness of His creation

  • There was 7 years of plenty & seven years of famine
  • On the 7th day, the Israelites were not to gather manna
  • Ex 25:37 Seven lamps on the lampstands
  • Blood was sprinkled 7 times for complete forgiveness. Lev 4:6
  • Num 23:4 Balaam had 7 altars, 7 bulls, 7 rams for a sacrifice
  • 7 priests, bearing 7 trumpets, on the 7th day, march 7 times around Jericho & blew the trumpets 7 times.
  • The first child of David & Bethsheba died on the 7th day.
  • 7 Mary’s in the Bible
  • 7 men in the Old Testament who are labeled a man of God: Moses, David, Samuel, Shemaiah, Elijah, Elisha, Igdaliah. Jer 35:4

  • Jesus revealed himself 8 times before the ascension:

    4. then all the other disciples except Thomas
    5. 500 believers
    6. them in Galilee Jesus met His disciples
    7. James -his half brother
  • 8 Be-Attitudes
  • Hanukkah is celebrated for 8 days
  • The word Blessed is found 8x in Proverbs
  • Judge Abdon served for 8 years Judges 12:13-14
  • Pentateuch has 8 songs and all were song after the resurrection of Jesus: Deut 32, Judges 5, Is 5&26, Ex 15, Song of Songs & Numbers 21
  • 8 appears in the form of the timekeeping or watch. It was time periods. Judges 7:19, Mark 6:48, Matt 14:25

Nine means Divine completeness. Perfect completeness means nothing can be added.

  • 9 fruits of the spirit
  • Jesus died on the 9th hour
  • Cornelius prayed on the 9th hour
  • Peters preaching to his family and friends was on the 9th hour
  • 9 judgements on the people who returned to their homeland.
  • Temple was destroyed by Babylon on the 9th day of the month
  • 9 people were stoned – 7 in the Old Testament, 2 in New Testament
  • 9 Gifts of the Holy Spirit
  • Hoshea was Israel’s last King who reigned for 9 yrs.
  • 10 lepers healed, 9 ran away and gave no thanks

Ten means Divine order & completeness. It’s made up of 4 which represents physical creation & 6 which symbolizes man. The meaning of 10 is one of testimony, law, responsibility & completeness of . (10 is mentioned 242 times in the Bible)

  • In Genesis the phrase “God said” 10 times
  • 10 commandments
  • Tithe is a 10th of our earning & testimony of our faith in The Lord
  • The Passover lamb was selected on day 10 of the first month. Ex 12:3
  • Day 10 of the seventh month is also the Holy Day known as The Day of Atonement
  • 10 generations of man lived on the earth before the flood.
    1. Adam: Lived 930 years and died 216 years before Noah was born
    2. Seth: Adam’s third son, who lived 912 years
    3. Methuselah: Seth’s fourth great grandson, who lived 969 years
    4. Lamech: Methuselah’s son, who lived 777 years and died five years before the flood
    5. Noah: Lived 950 years
    6. Shem: Noah’s son, who lived 600 years and lived 502 years after the flood
    7. Eber or Heber: Shem’s great-grandson, who lived 464 years
    8. Terah: Eber’s great-grandson, who lived 205 years
    9. Abraham: Terah’s son, who lived 175 years
    10. Isaac: Abraham and Sarah’s son, who lived 180 years

    5. A person will truly be free if made so by Jesus. John 8:36
    6. God the Father will honor those who serve Christ. John 12:26
    7. Those who believe in Jesus will do greater deeds than he did. John 14:12
    8. Those who obey Christ’s commands will receive the Spirit. John 14:15-16
    9. Those who keep Jesus’ commands will be loved by both Him & God the Father. John 14:21
    10. Those who abides in Jesus will be fruitful. John 15:5
    11. A person can be Christ’s friend, if they obey Him. John 15:14.
  • Only 11 of Jesus’ disciples took he bread & wine symbolic of his broken body & shed blood, that made the New Covenant possible.
  • 11 of Jesus’ disciples after the resurrection, used lots to determine who would replace Judas (Acts 1)
  • Judas showed himself 3x to all 11 disciples as a group.
  • 11 Psalms were created for the Sons of Korah: 42, 44, 49, 84, 85, 87, 88

  • Jacob had 12 sons and they became the 12 tribes of Israel.
  • Moses sent out 12 spies. Numbers
  • Elijah build an altar of 12 stones, when he called for fire down from heaven. I King 18
  • There’s 12 minor prophets
  • God specified that 12 loaves of unleavened bread cakes be placed weekly in the temple. The priests were to change the bread every Sabbath. Lev 24
  • Jesus’ first words are recorded at age of 12 yrs old.
  • Jesus had 12 disciples.
  • When Jesus fed the 5,000, 12 baskets were filled with left overs.
  • When Peter cut off the soldier’s ear, Jesus rebuked him saying” I could have called 12 legions of angels. Matt 26:5-12
